CLIMATE

The climate in Mexico varies throughout the year. In winter, from December to March, the temperature averages from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. In the summer, from June to September the average temperature is around 28 degree Celsius. The rainy season is usually May through to October, and during the year there is little to no rain.

Markets are popular with the younger crowds looking for certain fashion items and the value-savvy shoppers seeking out interesting clothes at attractive prices. Mexico’s market stall keepers are quite entrepreneurial and will sell almost anything they feel people will buy. During certain months expect to see items that relate to a festival eg. Day of the dead. 

 

CUISINES

Mexican cuisine is known and loved by the world all over. It’s mixes native ingredients such as chilli, beans and corn with produce that arrived with the Spanish, such as chicken, beef, pork and lamb, as well as a variety of herbs. Mexico has also given the world tequila, and several Mexican beers are exported, including the pale lagers Corona and Dos Equis.

WHAT TO DO IN MEXICO

Spend your vacation exploring ruins such as Chichen Itza and Tulum, and swim in many of the cenotes. There are plenty of  these swim holes dotted around Mexico. You many want to be a bit more adventurous and take part in horse riding, or driving an ATV. There are many tours and activities for you to do, it's just about choosing one or some that are right for you.

End your day with a quiet or romantic lobster dinner cruise, or if you are still feeling energetic, dance the night away in one of the many clubs in Quintana Roo.
